City of Kingston Co-operative Credit Union Ltd. (COK) is a sophisticated, versatile financial institution headquartered in Kingston. We provide a variety of services to members who want to achieve personal or business related financial goals..

COK manages a multi-billion portfolio of J$5.24B in savings and J$6.65B in assets on behalf of just over 213,000 clients. This makes us the largest credit union among the 52 credit unions in Jamaica and the 320 in the Caribbean.

We serve members in Kingston, St. Andrew, St. Catherine and other parts of the island – as well as Jamaicans overseas in North America, the UK, Grand Cayman and other parts of the Caribbean – through our branches and multi-service call center, which manages both telephone and online inquiries.

COK is run by a team of highly experienced managers, led by General Manager, Mrs. Jacqueline Mighty, she  reports to the Board of Directors led by President, Mr. Joscelyn Jolly. But the real power is in the hands of the members, who, at Annual General Meetings (AGM), elect the Board, Supervisory and Credit Committees. Members also influence decisions on the direction and activities of the union. The Board of Directors appoints other non-statutory committees from among members and staff.

We work closely with other credit unions in Jamaica, the Caribbean and across the globe sharing operational best practices. As the largest credit union in the Caribbean, we are looked upon as a model, with many of our procedures and products being replicated by other credit unions. For example, a recent MOU with the Eastern Co-operative Credit Union of Trinidad will see exchange of credit and human resource best practices between.

COK has formed many alliances in the interest of our members, some of these initiatives include; the participation of more than 50 stores in our Readi-Discount programme - holders of COK Readi-Discount card/COK ID enjoy discounts of up to 20% discount on goods and services. On site loans for motor vehicle financing are available at select car-dealers in Kingston and, one of our most recent initiatives will grant all our loan applicants access to training in entrepreneurial skills from the HEART Trust NTA.

Our strategic plan includes - expanding our member base, adding to our products and services and sharpening our service delivery through continuous training and technology. Currently on track with our strategic plan, COK is poised to continue along its growth path and looks to the future with excitement and confidence.
