Family Indemnity Plan

The Family Indemnity Plan is a group insurance plan that provides funeral expense coverage to members and eligible family members in the event of death.

Each plan covers up to six eligible family members under one monthly premium. Coverage is applicable for:

• Parents or In-laws (must be under age 76 years when the plan is taken out)
• Unmarried children, age 1 to 26 years*
• Spouse (including common - law or significant other)

Any member of COK under age 76 years may enroll under the FIP. There are five (5) coverage options:

Members may enroll at any time during the year. There is a 6-month waiting period before claims can be made. However, if death is by accident, claims can be made immediately after the plan has been effected.
